Its legal.
I cant tell you how socially acceptable it is though, as I don't know how it is where you live. Here 8th grade is middle school, and highschoolers and middle schoolers don't date unless they were dating before the older one got into highschool. (And only if its a 8th grader and 9th grader.)

Since neither one of you are 18 I do not see a problem with it. When I was in the eighth grade I had an other boyfriend as well but we didn't date that long. The only problem would be what if you and her get serious and you turn 18 she's only going to be 16 and some might find a problem with that. If you really like her find out the laws in your state about dating minors when you are 18 and see if that will be ok, if not maybe find a girl closer to your age or older, or date until you turn 18 break up and wait for her to turn 18 before you two get back together. Good luck.

Of course it's legal. You worry too much. No matter how old you are, as long as you aren't doing anything sexual (making out is okay) then it's perfectly legal. My older cousin is 23, and her husband is 46, and they started dating when she was 16 and he was 39. The would sleep in the same bed sometimes, make out and kiss, but never had sex. So that's legal.

You both are too young my children! Leave alone legal, social --this is not the age and emotional attachments/detachments lead to ruining of education and career. You can have dates later in life too, but age and time donot return. Sure,be friends. Share all the things that you read, saw and learned.Walk home together chatting pleasantly -you hurt none and you wont be hurt .

I'm dealing with the same thing. The guy I like is a sophomore and I'm an 8thgrader. Dont worry. Don't let your age difference and school change your relationship

Do realize the teasing you will endure from mostly all of your peers. I remember listening to a senior getting teased for talking to an eight grader, but hes older than you, so I can suppose that its a little different.
Why is her mother letting her date someone who is in highschool? What are you going to do with her?I highly doubt her curfew will be anywhere near yours.

legally yes, is it social murder? yes. wait until shes in 9th grade. if you still like her then, then ask her out. I mean is it really worth it? you probably will hardly ever see her seeing as how youre in 2 different schools. but if you have to ask if its legal or not, then you obviously can't handle dating since you don't even know the law.

It's illegal.
To get more legal advices u must mention ur country coz evry country has different rules.
As an friendly advise I can say that better let her complete atleast 16. May be this age is OK for u but for her it'll be very early.

legally you can date depending on what state your in.
There is only two years between the two of you and that is morally and socially acceptible.
The only problem I see is if her parents have a problem with her dating at that age.

I hope so because I like girls that age and I'm nearly 18.
(yes it is) - there's no legal or social details that states otherwise.
