newton is a scientific word for weight
multiply the mass by gravity
40kg x 9.8m/s^2 (the acceleration of gravity)
leads to 392 newtons
of course, I'm assuming that the mass is on earth
the 3rd guy rounded up the acceleration of gravity to 10m/s^2
more accurate would be 9.8

Assuming that the body is at standard sea level, g = 9.81 m/s^2
F = mg = 40 x 9.81 = 392.4 N
Btw, newtons is a unit of force whereas kg is a unit of mass......

Newtons are a measurement of force, Kilograms are a measurement of mass. What you are saying makes no sense.

Mass does not equal force. You are asking us to equate two things that cannot be equal.
