we just got a christmas tree today, its snowing alot outside, is it safe to put lights on the tree if the tree still is wet?

*my tree is inside. i meant it got wet from the snow outside when we bought it :)

Just make sure you don't kill yourself with the hair-dryer by getting it wet also.

Its ok, thousands do so as you get the lovely pine smell. If its ringing wet give it a shake. The lights these days go inside and out so it they take all kinds of weather wet and dry. They also have a power box on the end of them most the time and they cut out if damaged or they have anti shock proof for kids like. Thats why if you have one that doesnt go you can pull that one out with out turning them off and replace it .

Do not put lights on a dry tree, it may catch fire.

no, because if any electrical sparks come out from the wire for some reason, then the tree would catch on fire!

dry it with a hair dryer first just 2 b safe

yeeh you can but the lights on as long as the tree is not soakedd if it is i would be careful.
