Heck yes! But music seems to be lacking in guitar solos these days. 80's metal music had the best guitar solos (and the best guitarists!)

always...my favorite guitar solo is the entire Cliffs of Dover song by eric johnson. What a song. But every good song will have a good guitar solo. Look at freebird...theirs is like 7 minutes long and that song kicks ***!!!

I'm a guitarist but I can't stand solos. They are so obnoxious and I never think they sound good or appropriate.
