Think about osmosis:
Before adding the solution the cell looks normal. After adding the solution, it will shrink.

Osmotic action :

Before adding, RBC maintain normal shape.

After adding, the hyperosmotic solution will withdraw water out from the RBC ==> RBC will shrink obviously. But at this concentration (50%) I think the solution will cause critical damage to the RBC, maybe it can be destructed.

Osmosis will occur, cell may shrink or expand.
