it's a very common act, or i better say it was very common, you see 20 years ago, it was like this: people got married, next day they went to INS to apply for Green Card, 4 weeks later they had their GC, the day after filed for divorce.
But now it takes longer, and there are some restrictions, making harder to do, however it's still being down.
Best Regards.

NOBODY has ever gotten paid to marry someone just so they could be a legal citizen, since they are not a legal citizen if the citizenship was aquired by fraud, and the fraudulent citizenship is revoked if caught.
Some people have managed to get away with that fraud, but like any other crime, the gains are not legal

Doesn't work for me. I'm Mexican, so they think I'm in the same boat. Not that I wouldn't love money and a chance to "stick it to the man," but no one will give me a chance.

Hi! I would like to turn myself in, then judge myself, and sentence myself to die in the electric chair.

So many people do it....you have to be smart about that. Don't forget the 13th commandment.
