My grandbaby can't resist anything, good or bad. I am trying to find a way to block off, fence off or whatever to still have my Christmas tree with all my beautiful ornaments but make sure my grandbaby is safe.

duct tape the kid to the wall, no just kidding.... buy a puppy enclosure or use his play pen....you could keep him away from it

Make sure the tree is firmly in the stand, and don't put lights up this year. Buy some of the plastic unbreakable ornaments. No tinsel! And put a fence around it.
If it were me, I would skip the big tree this year, buy a little table top one, well out of the reach of a toddler [and make sure nothing drapes over the table where the kid could grab it and pull it off]. that way, you both can enjoy the lights, and some of the ornaments safely.

Try stacking large wrapped empty boxes around the tree. Put a few names on them for a laugh on Christmas morning! Occupying the toddler's time with other activities will keep them out of the tree and definately in your hair...and isn't that why they're at grandma's anyway? Pretty much guaranteed that whatever's hanging off the lower branches is going to go in their mouth so the previous suggestion of toddler-safe ornaments on the lower half is great. Maybe some giant elves will guard the tree for you...

Put your good and breakable ornaments up on the upper part of the tree and get some nice, pretty plastic ones for the lower part. That was the child, if he/she pulls them off won't get cut or break them.
When my niece was a toddler we would hold her by the tree, letting her touch a branch to see how rough or jaggy it was. She didn't like and didn't bother it but not all kids are like that.

I am going through the same thing. I saw online somewhere that they have a small fence that can go around the tree.
I am putting mine in the corner and will put a child gate in the front and decorate it with things she can touch.
good luck!

put your tree in a corner and then use a gate to protect the other two sides. You can make it look nice by putting garland and lights on it...not the most attractive thing but it will keep both your tree and grandchild safe.

Yes. I've sometimes mistaken skinny guys with long hair for women---until they turn around. Also, one time when I was working as a telephone customer service representative, I kept calling this female customer "sir" out of habit because she had such a deep voice. She was used to that happening though, and didn't take offense.
