My girl caught a bug like that. She just ran a fever for several days, nothing else. Hers was fairly high, though, so I did end up taking her in (like 103F). But the doc said that it's common in wee ones and that as long as it doesn't last too long or get too high it was okay. If it gets to 101F or higher it was recommended that we alternate giving her Tylenol and Motrin.
Just keep him comfortably cool and give him plenty of fluids. If his tummy seems to get upset, you might switch to the pedialyte stuff because formula can be tough on a sick tummy.

First of all how can you determine that the temperature is not high enough. If a baby has a temperature in the morning don't wait till night to get medical advice. A prolonged temperature could result in seizures for a infant or any child 48 hours is unreasonable you should have taken him to the doctor yesterday. Never try to play doctor yourself. its too dangerous. Never assume a temperature is from teething if you had a horrible sickness your baby lprobably caught it as well. dont take chances with the babys life. Just trying to help you love tia

I have four children... and remember a fever is actually a sign that the body is fighting off something. We usually fear fever. But it is important to keep an eye on it, because you do not want it to get too high. Most illnesses have an incubation period of 7 to 14 days, depending on the virus. ie.. you are sick for 24hours on Wednesday means that you could have been exposed to that particular virus 7 to 14 days before you actually came down with the illness. Unless your baby was exposed to the illness the same time as you, more than likely that is not what he has now. Babies can run a low fever with teething. Just make sure he is getting plenty of liquids to prevent dehydration. Remember to always practice good hand washing and anyone that handles your baby should do the same. He is very cute.

Rainbow is right - he;s a little cutie.

However, keep an eye on his temperature - and make sure he gets fluids, even if he doesn't feel like eating. Hope he's ok - got a good chance of catching it from you though - sorry.

To help keep his temperature down while you decide what to do, should you have a fan, which blows cold air (not too strongly!), play this on him. A hairdryer set to cold or a fan heater on cold blow would be ideal.
Keep him hydrated.
If you are in the UK - talk to one of the nurses on "NHS Direct", 0845-4647 for advice.

probably a coincidence if he's not leaking at either end by now. Just be a bit fussy on the hygiene front?

It could be just teething but if it continues much longer I'd take him in to see his doctor just to be sure.

you need to call a doctor just in case and ask, only a doctor would really know this weather you think it is normal or not or not serious or not you need to check.

answer that question and he is to precious to take
chances with!
