Okay I love Animals/Pets more than most people. And was so excited to know that the man i love is a Pet lover too.And thought nothing of him moving in with his Boyz.
Now it has been two weeks living together and his Beautiful dogs are with me all day.
I feel that they are testing me and they sense my fear a little because I had to lock my self in the bathroom after Boss the more scary of the two Growled at me and looked as though he was going to bite me.
All I told him down when he stood up on the table and tried to snatch my lunch sandwich. He immediatly challenged me and I stood up to seem taller and he barked growl at me, and as soon as I got close to the door he lunged for me but I shut the door.

I have told my boyfriend what happened.
But also told him that I probably set him off.
But i am so scared too be left with Boss & Hugo.
What can I do to stop feeling scared. And get them to respect me?
When my boyfriend is here they are way more submissive.I try to spoil them.

If I were to be attacked, how could I best defend/protect my self......
There must be ways too defend against a dog who is going hurt you.

My dear you have a serious problem. Find a professional trainer at once. If your boyfriend will not do anything, you must leave him. If he cares more for the dogs than you, he is not that great. At least find a way to have the dogs stay outside. Also don't think that you are comlpetely safe with him around. Aggresion in a dog is unpredictable and he may not be able to control them.

First off Tammy C you need to be educated on hog hunting before you make stupid assumptions. Most hogs (especially males) will not run. The dogs are there to protect the hunter. I have a cousin who hunts wild hogs with his dogs and has even lost a dog cause the hog got my cousin and the dog jumped in between them.

Yes the dogs were testing you to find out where you ranked in the pack. You have already submitted to these dogs (fearing them and backing away when challenged). They now think they are over you and your making it worse by spoiling them when the alpha (your bf) is around. Your going to have to change your behavior. Try watching Cesar Milan he knows alot about dog behavior. NEVER show fear to ANY animal. Try to regain dominance by you being the one that feeds them (do not give them food until they submit and sit). I would get a trainer or your boyfriend to help at first.

In the case you do get bit, dogs have a gag reflex just like us. If they won't turn loose shove your thumb into the corner of their mouth and down their throat.
Hope this helps.

P.S. I've been around animals all my life and never had one "turn" on me. The person always does something to provoke it no matter the breed or the animal.

How could you protect yourself if they attacked? You couldn't. You wouldn't stand a chance. The only chance you'd have is if you had a gun that you could shoot them in the head with. But you sure as hell better not miss!

Please - before these dogs attack you kick the boyfriend and his vicious beasts out. You were crazy to let them move in in the first place!

??? Is that them in the pic or just the same breed? Did they kill a wild boar? That's freaking frightening. Get those things out of your house NOW!!!!!!!!! What ugly, vicious beasts!

I think you need to be VERY careful. Set up someplace in the house for them to live when your boyfriend isn't home, someplace they cannot escape from. A child's gate across a doorway, BOLTED into place and high enough that they can't jump it might work. Make your boyfriend put them in there every time he leaves the house. Make sure they are comfortable, with food, water, toys, beds, etc. If you live in a warm climate and have a fenced in yard, I suppose they could stay outside while he is gone, as long as they aren't banished out there 24/7.

In the meantime, hire a good trainer. But most of all, YOU need to be the one to feed them, every single time. They need to associate you with good things and to know that YOU are their person, too.

Be CAREFUL, OK?

Find a good Obedience class SOON - (your vet is likely to have references). Teaching them sit & down with reward thet you control and they cannot get without obeying you is going to send a "I am dominate" signal.
You need to win other challenges (or distract him away from them) WITHOUT closing physically with the dog (you will NOT succede to alpha roll a large dog who thinks he's dominate to you) try spray bottles, throw chains, penny cans or other distance disapline.
IF you fear to be left alone - get him to crate them when he leaves untill you have a chance to establish a better relationship under controled conditions (OB class) .

You should tell your bf they scare you! Get a sweet labrador puppy instead. If they attack then maybe you should carry pepper spray. BE CAREFULL. I dont want to scare you but dogs of that size exspecially 2 can KILL you. This is serious because dogs are more likely to turn onn you when they are in a pack. Maybe try being aggressive with the dogs when ur bf is home...to safetly gain respect.

Whoa! they are big...well one thing is never stare them in the eyes, they see that as a challenge. They never do it when he is home? If they do get him to teach them not to. Why dint you look up that breed and read about training and how to assert yourself? Are they neutered? If not they should be, that will lower their aggression

I wouldn't trust them, just as I wouldn't trust a man who runs hogs to exhaustion with dogs and then lets them be torn apart. That's cruelty to animals.Poor thing. If you don't want to end up like that hog, stay away from those dogs.

Edit : Tiea H. I am not stupid. I've seen videos of hog hunts with bully breeds, and also "hog dog" rodeos, where the hogs are tortured by the dogs in a pen. The hogs lose ears, tails, get severe bite wounds, etc. They suffer terribly. And of course the boar is going to stand his ground when he's got a pack of big dogs biting at him,but those hogs in the video,if they weren't trying to get away, then I don't know what you call it.They were terrified. If someone's going to kill a hog, they should just shoot it to kill it quickly,so it doesn't suffer. But these people LIKE to watch animals suffer,it's how they get their jollies, just like people who fight dogs. It's the same as fox hunting, treeing cougars with dogs, trapping, canned hunts, etc. It's all cruel.Unless the animal is killed quickly and for food,it's cruelty.

Dogs can smell fear.

All they are doing is trying to see if you are worthy of their leader/master.

Don't be a wuss; use a firm voice to tell them off, then praise them for doing good (i.e. what you told them to do).

You get scared they know you're not worthy.
