With the upcoming releases of movies baed on books(I Am Legend, The Golden compass), which do you prefer. to read a book or to watch a movie based on a book. while each has their advantages, movies dont take up days, mabye weeks of your time, books give you a more indepth feel to the story and characters. rreading the Harry potter books and seeing the movie were like 2 totally different things. So hich do you prefer? for me, it's Books(I've read 5 books in the past 2 weeks, all over 400 pgs).

Books. I LOVE books. I rarely ever watch movies, and when I do...they're usually older movies. But books are amazing. You can get lost in books in a way that you can't in a movie. Every book is unique in how it's written while movies all follow a certain format and originality runs out after a while.

Plus, nothing beats the whole experience of feeling the pages sift through your hands or the complete feeling you have when you're on the last page.

Yes, I know. This makes me a HUGE nerd, but I'm a very happy, well-read, nerd. :)

I prefer the book because when a movie is made of a book it is edited and casted with bad characters.

If i have read the book i can never watch the movie. It is always a disappointment.
