My son is a teenager, 17, his friends mom seems to flirt with him, but not in any direct way. I do suspect my son really likes her. In fact, I only met her once, but we talk on the phone sometimes. She's single, in her 40's, but looks and seems much younger than myself( same age group). What would you do if anything? I never have brought this up to my son, or to my son's mom. Should I just stay quite, and see if this is just a passing, never to happen crush/friendship they have? Am I too concerned?

It depends on what your son is like. If he gets really sorry for people sometimes, then you should be concerned because the mother might be desperate for some attention from someone if she's single. Just watch out for signs that your son is flirting back with her and if he is, then confront him to find out the truth.

As long as you do not think there is any abuse going on everything is fine. Just now when he turns 18 he is an adult and can have a relationship with her. I believe that is still legal. As a mother I would be a little worried myself. Maybe one day go out with this woman and bring up dating younger men. I am 20 and I joke around about being 40 and getting an 18yr old myself.

Go ahead and wait it out and see if you notice there relationship becoming more than just friends.

Yes, you are too concerned. I would just relax. I would also watch the relationship as well. Sit back and see where it is headed. Maybe she is just trying to be nice and helpful. She might like younger guys. She might be trying to find someone. There are a lot of different possibilites. Relax and make sure you know what is going on.

Your son is 17...he can make some decisions on his own...but this is one u should make for him. It's probably nothing thogh...boys at that age do flirting with almost everyone...i would go to ur son friends mom and talk to her about it though...

You may be too concerned. Just wait and watch - see what happens. If there is any direct flirting, or if you find out that anything serious is going on, call 911.

You should be very concerned. That is nasty. Talk to your son. Maybe talk to the woman and tell her you feel uncomfortable with the flirting.
