I kinda agree, its like one thing after another, year after year..when will the people be heard? And what will it take? On the other hand, what repercussions will we face as a result of this revolution? And would it really make a difference in the end?

I think you mean a revolution of thinking a new philosophy that can enlighten future generations. lets face it the students of today are so damn boring. they act more like all them teen movies than we did when i was a student when we protested at nearly every human rights issue there was and could be. i cannot recall the last time i heard of some student union protest at campus on foreign policy. that could be down to the media that do not care what they want is to make a new enemy since they are also owned by people with a large investment in the military industrial complex.

You want change. I want change. At THIS time we don't need a revolution. We need a change in congress. I mean everybody. There are people in the USA benefiting from the status quo. About 25% of the people. What a coincidence. That's about the percentage of the people that vote. We ALL need to vote No matter what your station in lfe. That right was given to the people in Admendment 15 in 1870. It does not limit that right by money, race, profession or job status. Members of congress have been there to long. They no longer feel they represent you, they feel they know what is best for you. It has become THEIR congress, THEIR money to spend as they want, ( and they sure as hell do). There is a huge difference in how it is supposed to be & the way it is! When I listen to anyone & I mean from the municipal elections to the presidentual elections, Not one candidate says "I represent the people & I will try to do what my constituents want me to do". I listen to the presidentual debates & it is the same theme that you hear every election year(except the war in Iraq). The democrats for, the republicans against, the democrats against, the republicans for. I believe this a charade on the American people. Does anything every really change?

Revolutions usually occur every 4 to 8 years. So, sit tight we in the US are due one Nov 8th 2008. Problem is that the real revolution needs to occur in peoples minds and hearts. Otherwise it doesn't matter which side is in power the same abuses, mismanagement, and shenanigans will still be going on. Because we will allow it. The powers that be only wield power which is seeded; either by ignorance, laziness, or just down right stupidity. Unfortunately, there is no shortage of any of those.
I think we will need to evolve in order to revolve.

Separation Of Greed from State kind a Revolution Of Consciousness one.Make Greed an Official Relgion apply law invite scientists ,philosophers to debate on it. Lawmakers,Lawyers. If Greed were a religion it could cause no more harm than others and should obay they same laws others have. Greed is a powefull Religion all that will be asked of followers is honesty if Greed is their belief then The Church Of Greed is theirs. No Children may join too young. No adds directed against them.

I guess it is fair for me to put in MY opinion on this matter.
I think the BEST governmental structure EVER created by mankind in the history of this world was the one created by our own Founding Fathers!
They were BRILLIANT!
They recognized the flaws of humanity and the fact that POWER CORRUPTS, They alone rejected the all too human tendency to grab the power and make themselves KINGS! They had the foresight to create a governmental structure that placed the power into the hands of the citizen. The BEST way to avoid corruption and tyranny was to spread the power among those governed.
Unfortunately, ever since the beginning, crooked tyrannical politicians and lawyers have been making specious arguments designed to convince the citizen to give up their freedom and power and turn it over to a potential tyranny.
If a battle is to be enjoined, it must be one to re-educate the American citizen about what freedom and personal responsibility are, and to RETURN to the constitution and governmental form entrusted to us by our Founding Fathers!

To quote Steph, "eh, i dont like the government, but as long as i have food and a roof over my head, its all good"
Here is the problem my dear, the sheep don't care about anything as long as the Iphone is working and the TV is on.
Come this time next year, when many people like her are struggling to put food on their tables, you might get some airtime.
But a revolution would only take away our current evils to be replaced with a new one.
Power corrupts.

No, as fed up as you might be. We have it better than just about any other country out there. So just hold your horses. I know what you mean, and it really doesn't matter which political party is in control either although I tend to favor Republicans (that's another topic). I think one change that can be made is with Politicians. They are supposed to be For the People by the People. They work for us. So why do we have to listen to a Politician about what they believe needs to be done and why His/Her Idea is great. 1st off, who cares about their idea. They are supposed to care about OUR ideas. These politicians are so :in-to-themselves: Why aren't Politicians asking us what we want, instead of us believing what a Politician wants is best for everybody.

To start any kind of civil disorder would be criminal. You are NOW on every watch list the government has.
Yes, we do need some changes...but revolution would only spill innocent blood.
Why don't you pursue a political career, run for president and save AMERICA!
