Oh Jilly..... you must be in love! I never thought of you as a cynical old grump though. Congratulations!

Now you are back in style, Jiggles! Thank heavens you came to your senses and are again who you are. AS for granddaughters, I have only a grandson, and two sons! Always wanted a girl, but I suppose I will have to be happy with having helped raise my sister (17 years younger than I)
And besides, I think you don't worry as much about sons as you would a daughter or grand daughter...not sure of that. Phil

Our eldest daughter has had 2 sons and they are an absolute joy! Little terrors at times LOL but little boys tend to be. We had daughters and I couldn't have boys but it's like that sometimes. Some of us are destined to have future mothers and some future fathers. It is our place to just love all of them no matter what. Our other daughter isn't interested in having babies yet thank goodness but we know she will be a fantastic mum when she does.
God bless your new grand daughter Jilly and God bless you too! xxxx

We have 5 grand daughters and 1 grand son and they are wonderful to be around when they are with us. They can make a grumpy old man like me happy.

Aww...and the very best part...after you are done cooing over her and dressing and undressing her. Giving her baths and giving her the bottle. Powdering and soothing and pampering....all of that can lead to you handing her back to her Mum for the night and still allow you to get a full night's sleep!

Cynical old grump, huh? I believe it!

Nothing better then a new grand daughter. I adore mine but she is 15 now. I just don't know what I would do without her sometimes. She always has put a smile on my face.

I was one of three girls in my family. What a surprise to have only had my darling three sons. I was overjoyed when my granddaughter was born to my oldest son and his wife. When the second one arrived three years later it was wonderful. Then when the next two were boys everything was complete. Bless all the grandchildren. Another reason to enjoy life.

Yeah Jilly! That is sooo true. I have 10 granddaughters from
1 yr to 28 years and one greatgranddaughter who is 6. I only have one grandson, 5 and a great, 1 yr. They "light up my life", as Debi Boone sang in her song. Aren't we lucky?
