I am watching Bourne Supremacy and he is alive. Didn't he shoot himself in the hotel room in the first movie?

No, he killed himself in the second film. He was the one responsible for going after Bourne in India and getting his girlfriend shot by mistake.

No, he kills himself at the end of the 2nd movie.
Also, you'll find they flash back to previous times (which is why you'll see Chris Carter show up again as well).

Brian Cox dies in EVERY movie he's in! And since he's IN every movie, he'd be in all the sequels too ;P LOL!
