I am not a polyglot in the sense that I regularly reference things in several other languages besides English, but I do speak and read a little Dutch and some Tex-Mex (the dialect of Spanish spoken by Hispanics in Texas). My understanding is that the word polyglot most commonly refers to religious scriptures in several languages.

I speak English, Spanish, French, Latin, and a little bit of Thai. (Just enough to communicate with my Thai family members, but I can hold a conversation.)
