Well I figured out the first 5 letters stand for:
"Don't bother working at it"
...and then I stopped working at it.

No. Can't solve it. Mind you - I probably would feel a total fool if I spent a lot of time and found that it was just a hoax, now wouldn't I? But I'm not spending any time on it. Just getting 2 points, so thanks for the question.
