The important corollary to Goring's technigue is of course the famous truism avered by Joseph Goebbels and that is ,people, if told a lie often enough by a powerful/authorative person or body, will simply begin to not only believe that lie but will go on to commit atrocities based upon that lie.
There is in essence absolutely NOTHING different between what Hitler/Goring and Goebbels did in respect to lies and fear mongering and the use and abuse of patriotism and that which Bush/Cheney et al have done and continue to do.
Most important of all, the fact that the majority of Americans have bought into the lies and atrocities of these two truly evil people (waging an illegal war based upon a pack of filthy lies that has resulted in the slaughter of over 400,000 innocent Iraqi civilians makes them un-equivicably EVIL) makes Americans NO DIFFERENT than Germans as they blindly like lemmings ,followed their leaders over the cliff into an immoral cesspool.

They are things that can only be discovered after hundreds and hundreds of trials. And of course, strict restriction needs to be in place. However, because the basis of science is always changing due to new discoveries, we need to also have sympathy to the drug company as well. They are not miracle makers, they only try to make profits by selling something that they "think" might help other people. Imagine the world without antibiotics and other medication, how many people would have to die? If we agree that science can be changed, the drug company might not have an excuse of increasing medication prices because of law suit. Also if we look at any other area that has used the socialist system it has bogged down and failed to live up to its Utopian promise. No system is perfect but open and free market is the best out there.

What do you want to say with that? A +60 yr old unvalid statement of a longtime dead nazileader.... That kind of statement have nothing to do with how america is governed today. No analogy. American government is not employing a tight control over the american public as you suggest. You my friend should be more concerned about to tighten the quality CONTROL of the JUNK you`re producing for the americans in THEIR factories. Sometimes they low quality stuff coming from your place is very annoying ok.

You sound naive and uninformed. How many terrorist attacks would you suggest a country puts up with before retaliating? Since 1968 we have been attacked 15 times (at home and abroad) by the afforementioned. It is also obvious that you have never actually lost a family member due to this. It would change your perspective greatly! Iraq and its fellow savage neighbors are counting on people like you to turn away from conflict time and again. It is the modern day pacifists in the U.S. that make us more vulnerable by the day. And you speak of fascism...The socialist model our congress supports wants to control broadcast media (silencing anyone who holds a contrary point of view), size down our military, put more people than ever on government dependency programs and limit religeous expression. This is closer to fascism than what you mindlessly suggest. You need to break out of your liberal trance and re-examine the lessons of history!

Well, your premise is flawed from the start. No one was blowing up buildings in downtown Berlin in the 1940's. No large extremist group had declared it's intention to kill or bring under subjugation the entire country either. No one was bombing German embassies or military barracks around the world, nor had they proclaimed Germany the great Satan.Germany was an aggressor nation bent on world conquest who attacked weaker neighbors out of that desire. I am an educated, well informed person who is perfectly capable of seeing what is going on in the world. What is surprising to me is that there are those who are willing to wrongly compare an evil regime responsible for a global conflict and the attempted genocide of entire races to the current US administration. Even more astounding is that there are those willing to believe it. Not because it's even close to the truth, but because they WANT to believe it. Seriously though, an open display of ignorance like your question and it's comparison and the ones who eagerly agree is disheartening.

#1 ... no one told us we were being attacked, all we had to do was turn on the TV and watch the planes fly into buildings. Or open a history book and see the evidence.
#2 ... I admit China does have a more effective way of controlling its people. Just put a gun to the back of their heads and drag them off to forced labor camps.

That quote has been printed on this forum many times; I am not complaining, though, because I think that it is important and relevant!
The problem is this: those who need to recognize themselves in Goring's words, do not! Many are sheeple, but few admit it!
PS...I could have predicted how many would say, "But we really ARE under attack..." Puh-leeze!
And, as far as quotes from bin Laden go, I'm starting to think he is a "made-up" boogeyman...

If this country was like you seem to think it is . The secret police would have hauled you off by now and we would never hear from you again for the way you so boldly can ask your questions.
I'm glad you have that right though and I support your right to spout off. It just proves to me how good and free our country is.We need people like you. So Thanks!
