I'm lucky enough to be in a league where TEs are optional flexes, so I picked up both Clark and Gates. My league is TD-heavy, so I'm really looking for which guy will get in the TD more.

Dallas Clark: Peyton has looked pretty sour recently, behind a makeshift o-line, and I'm afraid Clark will be brought in to block more often, reducing his catches. But against JAC, it might make more sense to pass more often instead.

Antonio Gates: Rivers seems to be getting more settled and in a groove. But then again, Gates didn't do that well in Week 4 vs. KC. The upside is that Gates is always liable to bring home 2 TDs all of a sudden, so his potential is very high.

Which to take with me this weekend?

Greg - My league runs WR/TE flexes. So for some reason, nobody wants TEs in my league. Only 2-3 teams of start TEs. Most will use that flex for another RB or another WR. In fact, Clark went undrafted.

Hah, yes this is for Week 13. I'm not from the past.

So far it is 10 for Gates, 1 for Clark, 2 explanation-type responses. I will be starting Gates.

Both are good plays! I'd go with Clark though. He went for 4/66/1 in their first matchup vs. JAX and Jags still are shaky at safety.

Peyton is not playing like the Peyton Manning that we are used to seeing. On top of that Jacksonville is a very tough team and has had Peyton's number is the past. The only good thing for Clark is that Harrison isnt playing, so Manning will have to look at other options to score. Gates is playing against a very inconsistent Kansas City defense. The offense for the Chargers seems to be settling down a little bit and the are scoring more consistently. The downside to Gates is that Tomlinson tears Kansas City up. They are going to run the ball alot. Neither is a great start, but Gates has the better chance to score a couple of TD's.

Hmm, it's tough. Personally i think both TE's are great. This decision might have to go down to your gut unfortunately. The evidence to start both are there. I have Clark, and for me he's my only option since i do'nt have any other choice really. But i must say, he is fairly consistant. About Gates, i'm not actually sure how consistant he is cuz i don't watch his numbers week in and week out. Peyton does like to throw to Clark in the red zone. And yes, the Jags are shaky at safety right now, so that's a plus. That's about all i can tell you man. Good luck.

Not sure why you need to know what to do in week 11 since we are in week 13 now! In my league Clark got 2.5 points in week 11 and Gates got 11.4 points. So.... if going back in time I'd choose Gates!

Go with Gates. Why didnt u trade one of these TE? Both are top notch and could have been used to improve your line up else where.

Gates is the number one option in SD. And Wayne is number one in Indy. So I would play Gates without hesitation.

Gates should be your every week starter at least until Peyton gets back in sync with his receivers.
