I think we need to pull out of NAFTA. What would your choice be?

As a former border resident, I've always resisted NAFTA. For obvious reasons, of course.

However, also, because the border region had always been pollution ridden. Now, we've literally got another LOvE Canal brewing in our Lower Rio Grande Valley. Cancer rates are skyrocketing. Anencephalic birth rates are higher than anywhere else in the nation.... a real mess.

Now, it is largely due to American factories who went over there and set up shop sans the normal waste controls that we see in here the US.

It was and is criminal and no one is talking about it. How many years will it be before it is talked about and something is done to fix it? Will it ever be addressed?

You know what? There was a question on the Republican debate about the lead paint thing with China and one of the candidates, I THINK it was Ron Paul, said "this Christmas BUY AMERICAN". All I could think of was "What CAN we buy that is made in the US anymore?"

We need to get rid of NAFTA. This country has become a country of imports. We purchase EVERYTHING from outside the US, even the so-called American cars have zero parts in them that are actually made here. Most of the jobs that are available here now are service jobs. We don't CREATE anything anymore, which is a very bad thing. Name one thing other than FOOD that we export.

Kill it one hundred percent. Fair trade period is not good for anyone but the corporations. It's not fair to Americans and Canadians who are out of a job and it's not fair to workers in other countries who are working for pennies an hour. NAFTA is less so on the latter, but there's still a lot of exploitive business practice going on. Even though keeping our own interests first is the highest priority in this case, it's also a matter of putting people over corporations.

I think it oughta be changed, until there is a fair playing field it is damaging the average American worker. There is no way your going to completly stop trade, commerce and materials from being outsourced. The American worker is having enough of a tough time trying to keep up in the market,to feed his family and the American dream. Its still possible, but at a higher cost of careers and fields of expertise, that are constantly changing, while competition(the Capitalst way,and the right way) is being shipped overseas and borders, for a lower pay/higher profit. Most people working in non-college blue collar jobs are slowly being choked out(like the Mom and Pop stores that used to be on every corner). It should be scrapped until the countries that are in the trade agreement are on a level playing field with salaries, and competition.

Your reasoning fails. Obama has requested for attention of his cupboard appointments till now he's taking workplace so as that they might have expedited confirmations. the U. S. Senate has been conserving HEARINGS on the folk who would be individuals of the Obama cupboard. hence, the opposition get collectively has an felony accountability to invite questions approximately their skills and historical past. Obama has requested the Congress for specific legislations that he needs as area of his administration's courses. it is in boost of his inauguration notwithstanding that is an element of his administration's coverage and path. it'd be irresponsible for the Republican minority to permit those courses to circulate unchallenged while they are needless to say against the terrific hobbies of the rustic. The GOP individuals signify one hundred MILLION human beings who should have their voices heard. The Democrats can not and should not overlook approximately those human beings. did not Obama say he wished a BI-PARTISAN authorities? FYI - Bush replaced into not "needless to say" a "catastrophe." while the airborne dirt and dust settles and the Bush-haters circulate directly to different stupidities, objective prognosis will educate that he replaced right into a fashion extra beneficial president than any of them would ever assume. that is exciting how lots of his courses and rules Obama is adopting, isn't it? seek for many extra to come lower back. that's the information of Bush's success. you may not particularly assume to take human beings to job for criticizing Obama once you spend maximum of your placed up making ignorant accusations approximately Republicans and conservatives. you have not any theory who "those human beings" are and in the event that they have any association with the Republican get collectively.

Establish rates for tariffs and recovery of costs to the nation that an illegal alien comes from .

Every one of them deported would mean either more money for the US, or make it VERY expensive for another country to do business here without dealing with those border jumping criminals !

I was going to say scrap it, but it would have been redundant. We need to protect American interests first.
