"Green for Photosynthesis"
I envy photosynthesis
Nature's solar power kiss
Through which one constantly collects
The warmth of unemployment checks
Inert, content, serene
Imagine how much of my time would be free
If I could get food from the sun like a tree
The eco-friendly purity
Of vegetable social security
And it would be neat to be green
I envy photosynthesis
Chlorophyllic leafy bliss
That I can't do it seems remiss
I put it on my Christmas list
As an annual routine
Next to the teleportation and time machine
Sometimes we take the plants
growing around us for granted.
From forests to jungles, in parks and gardens
just about everywhere.
We enjoy the beauty of plants
Green plants, along with algae
photosynthesizing protists,
produce all of the oxygen in our atmosphere.
Photosynthesis -
sunlight
streams in window
hitting leaf making sugar
expelling oxygen.
breathe.

this isn't really a poem but it's a catchy song! this is still helping me in biology to this day!
respiration:
cell processes, cell cell prosessessessess
cell processes, cell cell prosessessessess
O2 and something sugary,
makes water, air, and energy,
in the mitochonria cause that is respiration!
cell processes, cell cell prosessessessess
cell processes, cell cell prosessessessess
photosynthesis:
when sunglight's on the leaves you gotta mix in CO2 and water,
get O2 and glucose, YES!
that is photosynthesis!
cell processes, cell cell prosessessessess
cell processes, cell cell prosessessessess
fermentation:
when a cell has no O2
the cytoplasm has lots to do.
lactic acid when you run,
comes from fermentation!
cell processes, cell cell prosessessessess
cell processes, cell cell prosessessessess
