How about this?
BCS Title Game: Ohio State vs LSU
Rose Bowl: USC vs Georgia
Orange Bowl: Missouri vs West Virginia
Fiesta Bowl: Kansas vs Arizona State
Sugar Bowl: Oklahoma vs Virginia Tech

The Rose Bowl is going to have to get over their Pac 10 vs Big 10 match up since #'s 1&2 lost. There is no way Georgia gets into the national title game nor USC. Since they're the 2 hottest teams let them play each other in the Rose Bowl. Ohio State gets in the Title game(yuck) by default since #'s 1&2 lost. Oklahoma cannot conceivably jump 7 spots to #2. LSU's losses were to ranked teams in 6 overtimes in the toughest conference in D1. Therefore LSU vs Ohio State in the BCS game. Oklahoma gets a BCS game since they won their conference. Kansas lucked out in getting one since they didn't play Oklahoma. Missouri should get a BCS game. Virginia Tech gets a BCS game for the same reason Oklahoma gets one. Who has any objections? It is about as simple as it can get in my opinion.

LSU won the SEC title, they should play Ohio State, although I do not like the fact there is no playoff! Ohio State had a weak schedule this year and the Big Ten has no playoff game like other conferences, which gives them an advantage over those that do play another game and if they lose, they drop. The NCAA Division I needs a playoff to obtain a real champion in football like it does in the other divisions and like it does in basketball, baseball!

I agree with everything you said except for 2 things: first 3 schools from the same conference are forbidden to go to the BCS so Missouri or Kansas is out, and since the Pac10 and SEC have 2 teams already those conferneces are eliminated too. If Hawaii comes back tonight they are in, if not, it is between BC and Illinois for the final spot. Second, the SEC is not the best conference THIS year (it is most other years) but look at their record against the other Big6 conferences.
ACC 10-10
BigEast 7-8
Big10 5-4
Big12 5-6
Pac10 5-3
SEC 6-7
Based on these records, and the fact that Cal (#6 in Pac10) crushed Tenn (SEC #2) this year, I would say that the Pac10 is the best THIS year, and USC should get a shot. And the fact that USC was #1 for the first 5 weeks.
If there was ever a year that cried for a playoff this is it - they need an 8 team playoff with the 4 major bowls:
Rose: USC(Pac10) vs Ohio State(Big10)
Fiesta: Oklahoma(Big12) vs Georgia(at-large)
Orange: West Virgina(BigE) vs Virgina Tech(ACC)
Sugar: LSU(SEC) vs at-large #2 (ASU, KU, Mizz, Hawaii)
with the Rose vs Fiesta and Sugar vs Orange winners playing
and the last 2 standing playing the National Championship.
It would require only 2 extra games - and have the games played at the same four sites as the 4 majors on a rotating basis.

I dont see why everyone is saying OhioState v LSU. I know OhioState is in but I dont see LSU leaping over Georgia and Virginia Tech. If anyone gets it I say Virginia Tech. They won their confrence just like LSU. What makes LSUs confrence championship any better than Virginia Techs? I actually consider BostonCollege a better team than Tennessee. Who cares is LSU crused VaTech early in the season. That was early in the season and I dont see how that should affect anything now. Teams change alot and I think Virginia Tech has gotten alot better over the course of the season.

The OU vs. West Virginia game has the best offensive appeal of the BCS games. Then the Capital One Bowl: Michigan V. Florida (FLA will probably be #1 next year) or the Cotton Bowl: Mizzou v. Arkansas

Ok, for those saying that LSU will not jump over VT in the standings, you should be re-thinking that one. Remember the start of the season?? LSU #2 and VT #9??? Do you remember watching that game??? LSU BEAT VT...so yes, they WILL jump over them and they will also jump over GA, because GA. lost to TN who then LOST to LSU. Kansas is the unknown here...Ohio is in for some unknown reason (considering their WEAK schedule)...so I just know I would be re-thinking who can and can not jump over who in the standings...
