I saw a monkey at the zoo slap another monkey, that shocked me!

I have been bitten by a monkey--does that count?
Some friends of my parents had a pet Capuchin monkey when I was a little girl. The first time we visited them when they had it, it was very tame and I enjoyed playing with it. The next time we went to see them, I ran straight to the cage to see him again, and didn't know he'd gotten wild since then. He bit me really hard on the finger--it drew blood and I cried.
I was afraid I was going to have to get rabies shots or something, but he had been vaccinated. It did swell up and hurt for a week or so, though!

My mom's neighbor has a monkey but I don't think it would be nice to slap him. He is a good monkey. I could see them slapping each other if they were upset with each other though. They have feelings like every one else.

Yes, when I was 12 years old, we live in Wawha (a rainforest located in Javier Leyte, Philippines. There's a lot of monkey neighbors out there. One young monkey manage to enter the chicken cage and I slapped it from its back. They are protected by a government foundation and its illegal to hunt them in our area.
Monkey is a very fine animal, stop eliminating their forest. This is the campaign of Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Philippines

well i havent experienced slapping a monkey but being yelled at by a monkey i did experienced that but that monkey was not in a zoo its in our bedroom and it so happened it was my ex husband and it pained me a lot

I haven't personally slapped a monkey but I do see in the wild they will playful hit each other and what not.
