Have enough money because it is very expensive and it doesn't allow foreigner work without permit.

Hi there,

You will need a specialist work permit in order to live & work in Norway for longer than 6 months. In order to get this type of permit, you'll need a job offer. Good sites to search for jobs are: www.nav.no (official Norwegian employment office listings) and www.finn.no. Native English fluency is definitely an advantage, and if you dont' know Norwegian there are still many multinationals with offices in Norway where English is the working language. Also, check out http://www.udi.blogg.no for information on how to get a job, ways to save money getting there, and insider tips & advice.

Good luck!

You don't have to speak Norwegian to work here. I know plenty of people (especially Polish people) who work here and don't know the language... It depends on what kind of job you want actually. It has been very popular the last years for Polish people and people for other countries with lower payments than in Norway to come here and work, because they are more "eager" and they require a much lower payment than Norwegians do... e.g. in the construction business, washing jobs and picking strawberries in the summer.

If you want to come here you should be aware of that it is very expensive in Norway. But it's a great country!
