Most likely is that windows has decided to install anew copy of the drivers.
Check the printers forlder for a 2nd set of drivers, right click it, set as default, NOW try to print.
If this works, delete OLD copy of driver, and delete the part of name (rename it) fron new one with "copy 2" in it

Known issue/bug on USB printers, move the port/cable or make a coffee and windows might decide to reinstall it for you to a new driver name !

failing this . .
Disconnect printer
DELETE printer from "printer folder" under start / settings
RUN installer on the install CD, and connect printer ONLY when asked to do so
Enjoy it

I don't know what printer you have but turn the printer off to clear the memory and restart the computer, check the cable between the printer and the computer you might want to replace it, it would not hurt to run a virus scan or what ever tools you run to clean eg: spyware, adware, ect if that does not help, delete the drivers and reinstall them again, hope it helped good luck.

1. disconnect both sides of you printer cable from your printer and your computer, then connect it again. Be sure it connect accurately and tightly both sides.
2. try to install your printer drivers again
3. choose it to be your default printer.
4. right click on your printer icon, click properties and then click print test page.
5. If it prints correctly, then it works
6. but if you can't print in your specific software, it would be something wrong in your software.

PS. be sure that you choose your printer port in your printer properties matching with you cable printer. If your printer use parallel cable, you must choose lpt port and if your printer use usb cable, you must choose usb port. Generally you printer software will ask you or install automatically for you.
