I'm hooking some rugs for Christmas gifts. They take forever to make (at least for me), so I have to start in the spring time to get them all done by Christmas. I also am making a wall hanging out of monk's cloth. My fingers don't move as fast as they used to, so this one I started in August and just completed it last month!

You are the "do-it-all" of doers girl! I CAN do some of those things, but can't seem to find the time to do much of it at this point. I guess in about 5 years, when my youngest is out of the house and I'm not cooking, cleaning and being a taxi mom, then I will be able to relax and do those fun things. I really like writing poems and making them into cards or putting them on fancy paper and framing them for gifts. I also like making Christmas Ornaments for the trees to give as gifts. I can usually get a couple of those made for gifts.... I wish I had time and engery to do these type gifts for all my family. Heck.. I barely of time to shop for a gift. LOL
You keep on sharing the gift of love in all that you make and I'll keep admiring you!

I always make the gifts that I give for Christmas. But so far this year I don't have clue as to what I am going to make yet. I always make cookies and candy as gifts, but I don't know yet what I will make yet to go with it. I really need to get some ideals and fast. I can't knit or crochet, so don't know what I am going to do.
I remember when my grandma was still alive, we got crocheted house shoes that she made all of us every year for Christmas. Sure do miss her and the house shoes.

I am making those fleece-tied throws and matching pillows (taking a break from tying right now!). I'm also making bookmarks (counted cross-stitch), to be given with books. And, I'm making swarovsky crystal necklaces and earrings this year. I love giving personal hand-made gifts! I wish I was on your list ... I need some of those socks! Baby, it's cold out there!

I admire those who are making special gifts for Christmas. For me, these gifts are the best. I wish I were a member of your family.
My nephew is only 20 years old and he is into making things with wood and his gift is unbelieveable. I am excited to see what his mission is this year. He's actually quite good.

I am knitting some scarves, hats and mittens for my family.
I just finished Elizabeth Zimmerman's "Baby Surprise Jacket"
in a toddler size for my 2 year old granddaughter. Also, I'm
doing a family scrapbook. Good time of year for knitting.

Debi, you sound like me.
I would like to be that person that makes gifts.
but maybe not enough.
I have baby blankets I started for my oldest, who know has four of her own children.
This year I bought these cups to put pictures in and bags you could pictures in all I had to do is take pictures or find some and put them in.
So, no not me!

Every year, I make pineapple pattern doilies for teachers at school. I've been lucky in that they have all been women and they always like them.

I always start out about September with good intentions but then... I could start a craft store with all the craft supplies I have purchased and then never done anything with. And another one with the crafts I have half finished. Not to mention a fabric store. And this is after I cleaned out and downsized!
