same old reason - money. unlike common belief, cold war, i.e. opposition in military forces, economics and ideas, started not in 1945, but in 1917 when lenin refused any payments on debts by russian empire. damn much of gold i must say. plus it offered an ideology which clearly demonstrated that people of property lose the property. sure this was a threat. this cold war started by the britain and other allies in WW1 about 90 years ago.

it lasted up to 1991, when it generally stopped. then number of contracts were made for extraction of russian natural deposits, greatly discriminative to russia. that offered trillions on profit to certain corporations.

around year 2000 these contracts were revised for fair conditions, which means hundreds of billions of losses to certain corporations. result we see again - propaganda and the pressure.

other reason would be military lobby it appears: people need an enemy to fund military, plus this boosts economics. germany economics was boosted the similar way right before WW2 by the way. i find plenty of disinformation on the matter in western media exactly to breed fear in people, hence justify military budgets. and who own that media? is it not the same corporations? what a surprise they act in certain favor :)

another rather amusing example. there's a law in the US which limits trade relations with russia due to the fact jews can not migrate to israel. they can for 18 years already hence all who wanted to migrate have migrated. moreover, doe to instability there many have returned recently. congress does not rush to even look into the matter so far :)

discrimination is a matter for boosting monopoly, hence have a better profit. it works great so far - look at the profit reports of corporations who supply the US military in the iraq campaign. and guess who from the current US government owns them? ;)

good luck.

Have you ever worked with Russians? Or been an employee of a business that has to work with them? Or eaten at a restaurant run by them? Or ridden on a train they run?
They are insecure, vain, drunk and/or irritatingly prissy all at the same time. They treat their 'social inferiors' like trash, and suck up to anyone they see as being richer than them in an incredibly servile manner.
I still am chuckling about the 'great soviet empire' line, though. So empires are a positive, if they are Soviet I guess...
Good one for a laugh. The Soviets were a metastasizing cancer that sucked the life out of nearly half of the world for decades and today, ignorant kids can state their support of a failed state, and actually not be laughed out of the room. Pathetic.

Because they play "sneaky" politics. If they don't make a ruble from it, it's western imperialism. If they need to fork over some cash, it's not in their best interest. When NATO and the US wanted to base a missile defense system in the Balkans, mainly to protect against Iranian missiles, Russia objected to it, even though the system would have protected their territory from Chetchen Rebel missiles as well! I guess they have plans for their missiles in the region!

Your question is very hard to understand, but if your point of view is that they are being discriminated against I think your wrong.

There is plenty of data that shows they are still a world power.

cheers.
