He was (he died in 1904) a half-Greek, half-Irish writer who fell in love with Japan and lived most of his mature life there, assimilating as much as it was possible for a Westerner to do. He became a naturalized citizen, married a Japanese woman, and changed his name to Koizumi Yakumo.

Its the pen name of Koizumi Yagumo! :) I didnt know that hes legally not of japanese decent...cool!
