it worked just fine up till now. i even uninstalled and reinstalled with the disc

I had this same problem with my $400 Lexmark laser printer that I bought less than a year ago. The printer had only printed 338 pages so I called tech support to find out what the deal was. After a bunch of tests and hours of wasted time on the phone, they determined that the internal controller board was defective and would need to be replaced --- at my expense! YEA RIGHT! Like I'm going to pay to have a new printer repaired so it can break down another 300 pages later. Anyways you might not have the same issue, but def. call tech support if you can't get it going.
