1.5L of 3M glucose. Using the dilution equation, determine how much of the 5M solution will be used in the 3M solution. I think that it would be 100mL. Am I right?

If you are trying to dillute 5M glucose to 3M and you want a final volume of 1.5 liters:

First, find out how many moles you need in the final solution:

1.5liters x 3moles/liter = 4.5 moles

Now find out how much 5M solution contains 4.5 moles (you can see it will be slightly less than one liter, since it contains 5 moles per liter):

4.5 moles/5 moles/liter = 0.90 liter of 5M solution.
