If they are in the container together they'll make a baby if it's the right time and conditions. Animals don't always reproduce when in captivity. If everything is right for them, the female will lay the eggs and the male will later come by and fertilize them. Be careful though because if they are left in there with the babies they will likely get eaten before they have a chance to grow.

You cannot force any animal to do something that they don't want (or aren't ready) to do.

You definitely should NOT remove them from their tank into a smaller container because this only stresses them out.

What kind of fish are you keeping? How old are they? What size tank are you housing them in? What is the water temperature?

There are various methods of simulating a mating season for various species of fish, but there are no guarantees that your fish will spawn.

Idk what kind of fishes are!
so If they are betas you have to
put (bouth) on a fishbowl but
with a grass wall in the midle of it
then u have to wait .
When u see that there are
like litttle balls floatting
u have to remove the girl fish
and the boy fish
will eat the eggs
and then when the eggs
are ready to go out the
"alevines" the boy fish
will expel them
and after that u have to
remove the boy fish
and u have to give them
a special food
be careful because
some times the
alevines will kill themselves
ok
good luck!!

It doesn't really matter what species they are, here's the formula, find out what their native water conditions are, then provide those conditions,(hard water, soft water, proper temperature, etc.) Then make sure their tank is as clean as possible(this means at least weekly water changes and filter cleaning),then learn about live foods,(the fishes natural diet)and provide this until they reach breeding condition and then let Nature take its course. This is guaranteed to work in at least 95% of all cases.

All depends on the breed of fish. Some will breed easily, some will not. Temperature and food they are getting are two big factors. Get a book from a library and see if it describes breeding conditions for your fish.

Make sure they have enough space in the aquarium so that they can make a territory for themselves and just let them do the rest. Oh and make sure they are happy. Oh Oh and play some baby making music.

Put the lights down on low. Play some romantic music. Feed them some extra yummy chow and then give them a little privacy. If that doesn't work, take them on some romantic beach getaway. ....no wait, that would be BAD

I really don't think fish care if there are seen. They lay eggs and then I think the guy fish fertilizes them.
