The slower Pace of Life and the fact hat we had time for each other.
I loved that we would actually talk for hours and hours about stupid things or nothing or about very important things.
No one knows how to talk anymore.
We would sit up all night sometimes, even if some one had to work. It was important to be with people, people were important.
And the Music......
Our greatest fear was across the Atlantic! And Cancer....

Oh and don't forget Disco! I agree 100%! It does seem that we have lost the ability to talk with one another. Is this due to computerization? Or is it due to TV? Or is it that we just do not take the time. I personally think it is a little of all three. People used to sit on the front porch at night and visit with the neigbors. You sure don't see that anymore. Now the only thing they talk about is gossip. We have a lot of that in my small town. And that is one of my pet- peves. After living in the city of Milwaukee for almost 30 years, gossip is not in my nature. I also think we could bring back a little of the 60's also. Things were so simple back then. Now we have complicated our lives. I really don't think things are going to get any better though.

Good customer service, and better varieties of music, and there wasn't an environment where we had fatal sexual diseases. All sexual diseases were curable which meant people's attitudes were better regarding human sexuality.

While some people think that cell phones have been a good idea, they have also fragmented the social atmosphere of society since they always seem to ring at the wrong times. Cell phones were only science fiction in the 1970's

And please bring back the vehicle fuel prices of the 1970's !!!

Music was so diverse from the 70's. There was enough rock, pop, and disco to please just about any taste. I would bring features of the rock bands like Led Zepplin, Aerosmith and Styx.
I would bring back the 70's hair styles as well.
The media was not as intruisive. They were starting to follow famous people, but not like today.

well first all my children were born in the 70's, and I think, people were not as plastic, as they are today, and phoney!!!!, and no one cared about anything, except keepin your family fed, where I live we didn't even have all those stupid fast food restaurants. if you went out to dinner, you ate home made food, everywhere, and now they have what I call corporate food!!!!, and privately owned rest.'s are becoming a thing of the past, and thats really sad. because the corp. food sucks big time!!!!!! we mainly eat at home, because we cook better, and we have owned rest's before, its tough work, but the food was always wonderful, and all homemade YUM YUM!!!! we still talk alot, their are lost's of baby boomers left, ya just gotta fine em!!!!!!

songwriters.
Man the songs on the radio are so lame these days.
Get songwriters like Carole King, Carly Simon, Kenny Loggins, and all the other hitmakers of the 70's writing again.
I mean, come on - "(Bomp, bomp, bit -duddah) Oh Yeah! (Bomp, bomp, bit duddah) Ooh yeah!" Even I can make up that crap and howl with the rest of the howling monkeys on the radio today.

The shag pile, bright colours, funky furniture, roller disco, platform shoes, skinny dipping, slower pace of life and simple freedoms we no longer enjoy.
Makes you wonder what the police did because nearly everything was legal.
