I'm confused, Darth, at your use of the word "threaten". A threat is something you do when you DON'T want someone to do something; IOW, a threat is meant as a deterrent to an act. A threat like this might actually make him want to stay on Y!A (Is this what you are sneakily attempting, Darth...hee-hee).

Now, if you are talking about IMs, it is a different story. If you are spending a lot of time talking to each other on messenger-type programs, then the threat, carried through, would obviously work. You don't talk, he doesn't get to talk to you. I wouldn't call this support, though, I'd call it removing the problem.

And, finally, if he needs "support" to get off the Internet, then I would say he needs to spend less time on it. He should be able to just quit if he weren't addicted to some degree.

Love to you, Darth.

Well that requires a lot of commitment. I won't quit when my wifes says to.... but a friend.. hmmm. What a dilemma! I suppose it would be OK to threaten.

Yes, but I think I wouldn't be able to follow through with the threat, but that's just me. You're a good friend if you would do that for him.

No, because then she'd say, "See, Darth quit yahoo. You need to quit yahoo, too!" I'm a woman. I know, because that's what I'd say. lol

No...I would leave Yahoo! for my own reasons, not anyone else's.

The pic of you in your thong is back, by popular demand, by the way.

No, I would never get into someone else's marriage,
and they better stay out of mine.

Nope, I'd go about my business, and I'd stay out of their marital problems. (I don't want two people p.o.'d at me.)
