Has it become an addiction for you?

A greater understanding of the needs and concerns of people, an understanding of why people do not believe In God, in Jesus Christ, an understanding of what really matters to them the most. And, the knowledge that we are all really pretty much the same in so many ways.
An addiction? No. It has become for me a main source of communication, of enjoyment. I do not get out of the house much anymore due to health reasons. The people I have "met" here have enlightened me, challenged me, encouraged me, made me feel as though I still had something left worth giving and doing. I'm not dead yet, but without this to do, life would be alot less for me.

YA has become a big part of my life especially now that the weather has gotten colder.I live alone, so I enjoy this more than watching tv to help me unwind.I think I do spend alot of time on here, but when I see how many questions alot of other people answer every week, I don't feel so bad.I am getting ready to start up Yahoo Q&A annonymous for all of us addicts. LOL

Definitely an addiction ! I love linking up with others of my age group from different corners of the world, and realising that despite our cultural differences , we're just the same under the skin. Its a daily ritual to get on YA and read about other people's lives, feelings and aspirations. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

A lot of insight and the knowledge that there are many great people on here. People that I'm glad I've "met" and am happy to call friends.

A little disdain in learning that it can also be a place where some people are only here to hurt others.

Not an addiction, but I'll admit that sometimes it's hard to pull myself away....especially when the questions and answers are really interesting and/or funny!

I have come to the realization that the world is screwed up. I now have it in print, If I choose to. And I thought fruit cake was only found during the Christmas holidays. Its year round here at Y/A. No offense, but there is a serious amount of candidates throughout Y/A for Nurse Ratchet to administer medications too.

Finding YA has replaced one addiction with another one lol....have you ever tried smoking a cig while trying to use a keyboard...smoke in your eyes is a horrible thing and makes me sneeze! We've gained some lovely friends and knowledge. We've learned loads about other countries and the people who live in them, we've gained experience with our laptop and we've come to realise there are fruitloops all over the world! xx

Possibly an addiction, but mostly a better outlook on people in general. I have been so amazed at how people who have never met can be so kind and caring for each other. I have also gained a larger waistline.

I have gained new friends by coming to YA. It is not really addictive to me, but it sure does help kill some time.

Yes, Addiction!
For the first time n my life I'm sitting quietly....., no job, no kids interrupting, ......and I'm thinking and expressing, which is gain.
In four months I've come to know and love so many of the questioners and answerers on this site. We share sort of an unconditional acceptance of each other.
I've placed Y/A on auto dial #3. Thats a pretty high rank and I'm enjoying the heck out of it!

Addiction? I hope not. For me it has been the ability to socialize with interesting and friendly folks while I'm recuperating from an achilles tendon injury. I've had to spend a lot of time in a chair with my foot propped up. YA helps to pass the time.
