enough water to make 2.50L of solution. I have an answer of 0.609M. Correct or not? thanks

Yes!

(250g/164g/mol)/2.50L = 0.6097M

You are one of the few people who actually tries to do their homework before asking for the answer. I think the slight difference it from rounding off numbers.

Molarity = moles of stuff dissolved per L of solution

You were given the liters of solution.

Now - you need moles of solute. In order to convert grams to moles you need molar mass

MM of calcium nitrate = 40.08 grams Ca/mole + (2 x 14.01 grams N/mol) + (6 x 16.00 grams O/mol) = 164.1 grams/mol

250.0 grams calcium nitrate x (1 mole/164.1 grams Ca(NO3)2) = 1.523 moles

1.523 moles/2.50 L = 0.60938 M

with correct sf (3 sf!) = 0.609 M
