i just press the lock button but now the oven is locked i dont know how to open the door lock

My old Kenmore did that. I locked it for cleaning and the lock broke. I understand that this is a common problem on the Kenmores. I would suggest calling your local Sears store and talking to a service tech and ask how to get it open. I had to get a service guy to come out and fix mine.
(That is why I now have a GE!)

It is probably on a timer & won't be ready to unlock until the time is up. If you don't have an instruction booklet, call a store that sells Kenmore & maybe they can help you out. Good luck!!

most ovens wont open untill the Temp. is down to a certain point. Give it 30 min. or so and see what happens. Otherwise call Sears. ( or take an Axe to it!)

If you turned it on self clean, it needs to cool down before it will unlock. Try pushing the cancel button. If it still does not unlock when cool, unplug it for at least 5 minutes and it may reset and unlock.

The service is horrible. ggod luck on geting it fixed. For me....I love my Viking.
