Why do they do stuff that Jesus wouldn't do? Like not caring for the poor, uninsured children, immigrants, gays, etc?...If Jesus were alive today do you think he would only care for rich, straight, conservative, white male U.S. citizens?

Because they are Christian when it is convenient for them to be (i. e. a photo op, a speech in a church). Other than that, they are serving their true master, money and those who have it. I think Jesus, if he were alive today, would care for all people regardless of their stature.

Rev Run, where in the Bible does it say, the GOP is so uncompassionate? Your accusing a whole group of people, the GOP, of not caring for the poor, uninsured children, illegal immigrants and gays, etc. Give me some quotes from the Bible that backs up your statements. Are you assuming all Republicans are Wealthy, Rich People, and all Democrats are poor working people that are being victimized by the Republicans? If that is your message, you should read your bible again.

If Dems are so compassionate why don't the Democratic owned Insurance companies making millions....give free care to all...caring for the poor that are that way INVOLUNTARILY and not just lazy substance abusers or loafs...is a matter of choice....I say that God helps those that help themselves...
AND AS FAR AS GAYS.....as much as is preached in the Bible against them...I do not think Jesus would like them making a joke of the Sacrament of Marriage...

Cons do care for the poor, however, the feel everyone should work for themselves, unless they are physically unable to. Cons would not ever give someone who is able to work a free ride for life. A little pick-me-up sure, but for ever, no. Cons also care about LEGAL immigrants, but not ILLEGAL ones. Being gay is a social issue, not political, so it has no importance to them. If Jesus were here today, it would be the second coming and would not matter.

Greed separate Greed from State set up Separate Church Of Greed to avoid hypocrisy welcome all who beleive in Greed. Use Law Of Separation Of Church to apply to Greed since it seems unfair other aknowledged religions like Christianity must obay it but Greed does not. Honesty is The Word.

Wow! First of all, Democrats have higher income/wealth than Republicans.
Secondly, read the Bible re homosexuals.
Thirdly, the Bible preaches that we (the people, not they the government) are to feed the hungry, care for the ill, etc.

Organized religion has gotten so stodgy and uncaring (not everybody of course). The only issues they care about are gays and abortion.
