Was it possible to have sex in the old days without becoming pregnant? Did they have their own kind of condoms? Nowadays people seem to do it for fun, without thinking about a baby. Was it possible to do the same in like the B.C. era. Because I was watching an Ancient Greek movie and they did it without having a baby.

Gee don't they teach sex ed anymore? No I am not being mean it is just that you live in an era when so called right-to-lifers and Evangelical Christians preach that sex is evil & wrong and only to be used for the creation of children and more children and even more children until the population of Earth of thirty billions and we all end up canibalizing each other.

First up, women are not fertile 'all the time,' certain women just seem to be.. Secondly a man can 'pull out,' it spoils the fun a bit but it is the only birth contol sanctioned by the Catholic Church.

And there is the sponge. This is as old as the Greeks & Romans. A sponge or rag soaked in citrus juice and shoved up there (I dont have one so the anatomy escapes me), a sponge kills sperm. At some point in history condoms make from sheep intestines were invented and they also helped to eliminate preganacy. And here is one that may gross you out but since you asked, in Germany guess what they call birth control? Anal Sex. AN old German proverb about avoiding pregnancy during rape says, 'give 'em your ***.' For centuries across the globe men have deposited a load via the back door and despite what certain people say you cannot get pregnant that way no matter how hard the sperm try. Same with Oral sex another way to avoid pregnany and equally ancient.

It is possible to have sex now without becoming pregnant. Women are not constantly fertile, you know. For most there is only a 24-72 hour period each month when pregnancy may result.

There were condoms in the old days. Sheepskin or animal intestines were used. Egyptians also had a form of diaphragm made from wax, which obviously didn't last long in the body's heat, and used lemon juice as a spermicide.

During the time of the Roman Empire, there was a plant that grew in a place in North Africa, which was at that time Roman territory. The plant extract would induce an abortion. The plant went extinct, and the Arabs overran North Africa in the 600's.

There were apparently a lot of abortifacients known. One part of the Hippocratic oath is, "I will not give a pessary to procure an abortion." Another that I think of is an oil from a plant called pennyroyal.

Another method from ancient days to the early 20th century was to use"slippery willow" to dilate the cervix. Slippery willow expands on being moistened, thus gently dilating the cervix. So from ancient times to our own, people have known how to avoid pregnancy.

nicely tens of millions or billions of light years might certainly be intergalactic flight (regardless of if interior of our interior of reach team). Interstellar flight is unquestionably theoretically possible. although, the technological annoying circumstances make it incredibly impossible (a minimum of on the 2d). in case you're able to desire to realize even near to easy speed, then interstellar return and forth is quite lifelike (even however missions might take years and many years). it style of feels not likely that it incredibly is possible to develop up a spaceship to such speeds however. Wormholes are theoretical strategies which promise to realize quicker than easy return and forth. the concern is they require damaging mass which seems to not exist. So on an analogous time as wide-unfold relativity facilitates such mathematical strategies, it style of feels the assumptions required proceed to be hypothetical. With our modern technologies, it would take hundreds of years to realize the closest action picture star structures.
