My issue about whether it is CHRISTmas or
"holidays" has nothing to do with the Pilgrams. It has to do with CHRIST !! God Bless you.

Do not get me started! It is a sad, sad world when we can no longer hear "Merry Christmas" from the cashier at Walmart. It's dispicable that human beings get offended by this. Coming from someone you don't know intimatley -- it is simply a kind gesture. MOST people in the US celebrate Christmas. People have been saying this to each other for years and years and years. Why suddenly is it so horrible? If someone wishes you a Merry Christmas and you don't celebrate it -- is it so terrible to suck it up and say "Thanks -- you too?" Or even simply give a smile back? How can anyone take offense at something that is not malicious or intentially hurtful? If someone said Happy Hanuka to me -- I would just reciprocate -- not run to the newspapers because of the unfairness of it all! Who cares if the Pilgrams outlawed Christmas -- and who even knows if that's true. The first Americans didn't celebrate a lot of things we do now -- like Mother's Day, New Years Eve and Valentines Day -- so does that mean we shouldn't either? This is so crazy I want to scream. For all you people who take offense at "Merry Christmas" -- you need to truly get a life. With all the real problems going on in this world -- how dare you? Maybe you guys should just stay in your houses during December just in case you should see a decorated tree. No one said you have to celebrate it -- but how 'bout celebrating kindness -- which is all Merry Christmas means. Making this phrase, or a Christmas tree in the mall, a newsworthy issue and demanding it be stopped is the epitome of Scrooge. Lighten up Christmas haters. There might be an innocent child watching... By the way -- MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US ALL! And Happy Holi -- Nope -- I just can't say it...
