I once heard of a relation between the two, frontal lobe damage and telekinesis that is, and I was wondering if there's any scientific research or theories behind it?

Also, has anyone experienced even a remote trace of this?

Thanks!

i've heard of stories about people who gained unusual abilities after being involved in different accidents, yes.

the first example that comes to my mind is about a girl who, for whatever reason, became paralytic. after some time, she also became able to 'astral project' or whatever you wish to call it - she simply 'went places' while her inert body still lied on the bed; she provided news about current events, people and places without having any other mean of knowing about all of them.

the most amazing are the ones where a head injury is involved - some started 'to see things nobody else see', make very complex mathematical operations mentally, develop different skills which were not present prior to the accident etc.
telekinesis is one of those skills, sometimes.

still, i tend to believe it's become an urban myth.
i'm sorry i don't have any link to provide, but, if i remember correctly, there were a few different theories around the main one:

there are a lot of unused/closed functions of the brain and such accidents unlock them.

needless to say this accidents are very rare and very unpredictable, so forget about trying to deliberately hit you on the head in hope you'll get them.

This is an interesting angle. Of course, one would be required to presuppose TK as a phenomenon does in fact exist for a connection to be made between it and frontal lobe damage. I would think it might be a priority to establish TK before you decide what it is that inhibits it (i.e. a normally functioning frontal lobe).

Being a moral person I would rather face the fires of hell than to worship a god being that is all powerful and all seeing yet stands by and does nothing while children are raped tortured abused and murdered. Stop and think for a second, if what your preacher tells you is true your god sees everything so he watches kids being raped and sodomized burned bashed and mutilated. Your god is also all powerful he can do anything he wants but he does not lift a finger to save these children. How unimaginably evil is that ? Can you possibly comprehend that amount of pure evil ? I doubt god exists, if he does I simply refuse to show any respect or regard for such a disgusting thing. He it is below contempt. Think about it. Free will bullshit does not count either, if you saw a kid being raped would you do nothing ? Would you just watch ? that is what your god is supposed to do every day he watches kids being abused and does nothing to help

so ur asking how many patients who had frontal lobotomys developed amazing powers? Don't know about a study but...

Concerns about lobotomy steadily grew. Numerous countries, including Germany and Japan banned it, as did several U.S. states. Lobotomy was legally practiced in controlled and regulated U.S. centers and in Finland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Spain, India, Belgium and the Netherlands.

In 1977, the U.S. Congress created a National Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects of Biomedical and Behavioral Research to investigate allegations that psychosurgery— including lobotomy techniques — were used to control minorities and restrain individual rights. It also investigated after-effects of the surgery. The committee concluded that some extremely limited and properly performed psychosurgery could have positive effects.

I am unaware of research relating telekinesis (TK) which is now called psychokinesis in the scientific research literature. However, I am aware of research on the brain (including temporal lobe damage and epilepsy) and paranormal (and mystical ) experiences. Some of this work was done by Michael Persinger (link below).
I have included some other links below.

interesting question,

I just remembered,

I have, seriously played a video game, it was a driving game, on a playstation(the first one), or maybe it was a nintendo 64 and was able to continue driving against my friend not pushing any buttons. I've been suspicious of video games ever since, especially since they are getting more and more complex
he saw it, and I so did I but I thought I was going to die soon so, we never made a big deal of it.
it happened on the campus of wright state university, which is very close to wright patterson air force base, which is supposedly hiding some alien secrets, too.

my answer is, who the heck knows?

Think logically about it. Telekinesis would require you to use a much greater percentage of your brain than you normally do under nonparanormal circumstances. So if part of your brain is damaged it would be HARDER, if not impossible to use telekinesis. Theoretically speaking, of course.

Not one person on the face of planet Earth.Has ever performed telekinesis. It is a superpower reserved for comic books and other works of fiction.Sorry, that's just the way it is.

no no, telekinesis has never been demonstrated to be possible.
Sounds like a hoax to me. probably someone trying to sell books.

Sorry, there's no such thing as telekinesis. Anybody who says otherwise is probably trying to sell you something. Good luck.
