The first thing I thought of when I read your question:
Barry Manilow's song called "I Write the Songs."
There is a phrase in there that catches in my head:
"I am Music, and I write the songs."

Evoking emotions from different songs. Music is able to transport me to any time of my life just by thinking of a particular song. It can lift my Spirit or make me weep...all depends on what I listen to.
