It depends on what I'm looking for. If I just want someone to screw around with, looks are more important. If I'm looking for a relationship, then personality is a must. Looks are still important to an extent, but not nearly as much.
I'll use the standard 1-10 scale to make this easier. If I'm looking for a hookup, then I want a minimum of 6 on the looks and a 3 in personality (must be able to stand her for at least a couple of hours).
If I'm looking for a relationship, I'll consider a 4 or above in looks, but I want an 8 or above in personality. Personality can alter attractiveness in my mind, though. I've met girls who I found totally unattractive at first, but upon discovering they had amazing personalities, I found them more attractive physically. I should note that this is rare. Though a 1-10 scale, 5 is not necessarily average. I find most girls have personalities at about 3 or 4. Hot girls seem to have great personalities at first, but the more time you spend with them, the more the charm wears off and you realize you were just under their spell. It's kind of the opposite of the great personalities makes you look better thing. Great looks make you seem like you have a good personality. Oh well, in 20 years they'll be ugly like the rest of us and then all the bad personalities will be naked for the world to see.

Guys go for looks... then some of us mature into men and discover through trial and error that personality is much more important.

Both... almost always both.
And if the girl is really sweet then more personality but if she's kind of mean or greedy or something looks.
But ugly personalities make ugly girls so I'm more personality. =]

a bit of both because you don't want to go out with an ugly person or one who is just plain boring they have to have a great personality.

me its personality. but i look for a good heart beauty is only skin deep but under that is the beautiful heart that not alot off people loook for like me or see like i do i would rather be with someone ''pretty'' with a great heart then someone ''hot'' with a cold heart not that im saying all girls who are ''hot'' are cold just some

Honestly, Personality for you will spend your life with this type.
Looks'? looks usually goes threw time. and you will have nothing.
This is if you are asking about marriage. but it is always better to have looks and personalty.
