Because Tennessee beat Georgia head-to-head and they both had the same record in SEC play, which is what matters.

I answered this on your other question...Tennessee was in the Championship because they got the tiebreaker...They beat Georgia head to head...Its the conference record, not the overall record that determines the conference champ...
