Our living room has become the Manitorium. That's a place where my husband can close off the doors and keep us women (me the wife and two daughters) out so he can have some peace and quiet.

No way!

Can my dog and I come over to hang out in your husbands sweet manitorium?

We have to hide from the ladies in the basement or garage.

I'm with him
Generally a Manitorium is a basement, garage, or home office.
Time for the Mrs. to reclaim that main space!
Don't put up with it!
Your family has a right to space usage too.
Tap that foot & put it down, girlfriend.
