Imagine your girlfriend comes over and hangs out, until she looks around and sees dust all over the place. "Oh my God, this is ugly!" and leaves you. Does having a dusty home make a bad impression on your friends and family? We have quite a dusty house, have one cat, and we cant seem to find a good air purifier (or something like that). And we cant really find a way to clean the air filter (built in for the AC). It's not "dangeroulsy dusty" but it's pretty dusty. Can you help with any of the questions. It'll be much appreciated.

Having dust doesn't make you a bad person. Sloppy maybe. Trying dusting. Your a/c should have an external filter, might need to call manufacturer on it. If you had an air purifier it wont get rid of dust (only the dust that goes into it). So dust your house once in a while.

No, I don't think having a dusty house leaves a bad impression. Gosh, there are times when my house is immaculately clean, and then there could be just one day in a whole month when my house looks like a tornado came through it, usually because of grandchildren! Most people can see through a little dust, or even a lot of dust! When someone is a stinky slob and leaves dishes in the sink and on the counters, food all over, toilets unclean, beds unmade, clothing on the floor, trash and papers covering every piece of furniture, etc-- THAT is when a bad impression is left!

havign a dusty haouse isn't as bad as having a messy house with dishes and clothes and garbage all over, but it is good to dust at least 2 or 3 times a year. It looks better and its healthier. Also if you have house plants don't forget to dust them because it helps them grow since they get more sunlight with cleaner leaves.

Well. If someone likes you enough, I would hope if the dust was an issue for them, they would clean it themselves... I have 2 cats one of which is long haired, and I accumulate alot of dust and cat hair.... Especially on my ceiling fans. And even though it is embarrassing at times when I have unexpected company, I love my cats enough to tell them theres the door is the hair offends you, you can leave,.... But it shouldn't be a factor in you personally.... And believe it or not, all homes have dust... But with electric heat it is often times more difficult to keep under hand....

Yes it does. It makes you look like a bad housekeeper. You should dust every day if you get alot of dust. Use Endust on a cloth to pick up as much dust as possible. Also use the brush attachment to your vacuum cleaner. That makes it easy and the dust will be gone.

Wellll........if someone is so concerned with your housekeeping abilities, or lack of such, she is not a "friend" to just walk away like that. I would have offered to help you out, and then suggested that a cleaning lady might be in order. Like once a month to help control your 'pet' population! lol Good luck, find some friends who can see when a little help is needed, instead of their backside!!!

Household dust is made up of 80% dead skin cells. Not something that you want to just leave laying around.

Have you tried cleaning once in a while? like "dusting" your inviting molds, dust mites, bedbugs, etc and other vermin. I wouldn't live in your house due to asthma. Get the bucket and rags out and go to it.

Dude......clean house every once in a while. But she's a witch with a capital B if she really said, "Oh my God, this is ugly" and then left you and she's not worth your time

You have to get out the pledge and a dust cloth.
