No, because Christians are (supposed to be) loving, tolerant, and forgiving. If we executed everybody who badmouthed Jesus, we would be suffering from under-population, I'm afraid.

I would say... yes. Because that would be idolatry. I mean, Jesus dolls never sold that well.

I think the issue is that one of the main tenets of Islam is that no representations are to be made of Mohammed. That includes cuddly teddy bears. I think the sentence is harsh, but those Sudanese have to teach us meddling white women a lesson about what happens to infidel females who get too uppity. Personally, I think the woman should have known better, and the kids (who were raised in Islam) definitely should have. But would we be so upset if this was not a white woman getting flogged? Would we have even heard of it?

No. A "Jesus bear" sounds cute. And even if it did offend people (like that crucifix dipped in urine that they called "art" in New York city), NOBODY would go to jail for it, and NOBODY would call for the execution of the people that did it.

Christianity is a LOT more tolerant of free speech than Islam is.

They should have named the teddy bear "George W. Bush". Both of them have heads stuffed with sawdust.

I am making an edit here - a day after I first posted the response. I apologize for saying both the teddy bear and George W. Bush have sawdust stuffed in their heads. I was being unkind to the teddy bear.

Not one bit. If anything, a few disgusted Christians giving the teacher dirty looks. Not a mob calling for her execution.

Islam... a peaceful religion? Please tell me how, when the slightest mention or offense toward Islam or Muhammad, and they get whipped into a fanatical frenzy looking to spill the blood of both muslim traitors and non muslims.

That WOULD get her the death penalty!

Edit: Look, folks. They accused her of insulting Islam for naming the teddy bear Muhammad. Do you honestly think they would have remained consistent? Naming it Jesus would immediately be interpreted as "promoting Christianity", not as insulting Christianity. Double standard? Heck, yes. But who believes these people are rational?
