disappearing or becoming invisable?

Today I dropped a large mocha freeze in Starbucks , what a mess. Everyone was so nice & they gave me another free of charge.

I was in line at the grocery store when the person in front of me asked 'How are you?" and I told him "I'm doing fine". He then asked me "What are you doing today?" and I replied "I'm just running errands and doing some shopping." Suddenly he turned completely around looking right at me and said "Do You Mind, I'm Trying to Talk on my Phone!!". It wasn't until he turned completely around that I saw he had his cellphone held up to the ear I couldn't see and was in the middle of a conversation - with somebody else!

I really didn't do it, it was my granddaughter. She bought one of those fart bags at the grocery store. A big chain store that is always busy. On the way out the door, she was behind me and had blown it up and squeezed it. I turned to see what it was and saw what she had done. There was a long line behind us leaving the store too. I told her loudly not to do that, that everyone would think I was doing a naughty thing. They all then noticed the bag and started laughing loudly. She then preceded to do it outside as we sat on a bench next to the outdoor snack shop. The guy cooking the brats and things thought it was me and walked over to see if I was ok. When I told him it was her and her bag, he laughed and then sent another employee who joined in a few minutes later to check on me. It was really embarrassing and I couldn't wait to get home. It is funny now, but it wasn't then.

I work for the local school cafeteria. We had served the last of the kids and were starting to clean up the cafeteria. The main boss came in and was talking to our manage/boss. I had a huge tray of ice that I was going to dump in the sink. Just as I got beside the main boss, the tray tilted a little, spilling some of the ICE COLD water on the main bosses leg. She screamed out cause it was COLD. And she moved out of the way. I apologized to her repeatedly. Then my other boss said "there is a sink over there that is as big as a bath tube and you are trying to get it in that little one". So I got embarrassed twice in about 10 seconds.
No I didn't get into trouble over that, but was so embarrassed that I wanted to crawl in a hole somewhere and stay there.

I got a speeding ticket in front of the office where I worked. Yes, I wanted to disappear! I wanted the ticket to disappear too. LOL

I'm glad for you that Starbucks didn't make you feel any worse. That was nice of them.

Yes, I took my laptop into the store repair counter because the power cord didn't fit. The young man politely showed me that I was trying to plug it into the telephone port.

Yes, I was very new to computing then but I was still very embarrassed. I'm sure I provided many a laugh for the store employees for days to come. I know I struck a serious blow to the dignity of the elderly everywhere that day.

When I was in the service, I said something about a beautiful nurse (can't divulge what I said) that I worked with, to a co-worker, and unbeknownst to me, she was standing right behind me. I can't describe the shade of red I turned. Luckily, she didn't write me up. She happened to be a lieutenant and I was only an enlisted man.

Oh YES!

One of my favorites is a family affair.

We were entering a movie theater. My older son dropped the huge buttered popcorn container just as my younger son was running past, so he accidently kicked it. The container flew all the way down the aisle, strewing popcorn the whole way!

Don't worry about spilling your coffee, I've worked in many food places and a lot of things get spilled.

When I was in my 20's I was a waitress at a new job in a nice restaurant. I was serving prime rib with au jus on a plate to a couple who were friends with the restaurant owners. I went to set the plate over in front of the lady and spilled the au jus all over her nice outfit. She, nor my boss were to happy about it. I'm surprised I didn't get fired. lol

Got caught making out with my wife (was a lot younger then)on the couch in our family room when my in-laws just happen to stop by. We didn't have the front door locked and the dog didn't bark either.
