Well, coming from someone who saw BOBBY, first day first show. Rishi looked ridiculous in it, Ranbir is great in his debut film.
But over the years, Rishi Kapoor has more than proved his abilities , time and time again, Ranbir has very big shoes to fill.
Rishi Kapoor has been a most versatile actor, Ranbir has 30 years to polish up
Maybe then Ranbir MAY overshadow his father.
Not to forget the adorable and talented mother,Neetu Singh

this is a really stupid question. Rishi is Ranbir's father and you can't really decide that because Ranbir has only made one movie. You cant also compare them because they dont work in the same time period.

Ask this question after 10 years.May be at that time we will be able to answer you. Just one Movie by Ranbir and One Lifetime full of movies by Rishi. Very Very Unfair to compare them at this stage.
But I can say one thing for sure, Ranbir will go places, if he gets good, sensible directors.

they both are from 2 totally different class and ages. I heard from my Parents. Rishi Kapoor was fantastic.
Ranbir kapoor too early to say anything about him. however, he really looks cool in Saawariya. Gorgeous face.

I won't gove a long explanation for this answer. Rishi Kapoor is better with far mor experience he's got good talent. Ranbir is just starting out his career and it will take time for his character and talent to develope. Hopefully he will be better than Shah Rukh Khan! If I offend you I am sorry.

No, Rishi Kapoor is far better in range ,talents and in the numberof films acted.
