Not all men are. This one is, though. No, of course it isn't right to say that sort of thing. That's a rhetorical question, isn't it, because you know it's wrong and I expect your answerers will do too.

I don't really think escalating the situation with a return of cruelty is a good idea, tempting though it may be. You see, then you are down on the initially cruel person's level.

I do think some counselling IS a good idea though, for the couple's sake and for the baby's sake too.

Not cruel. Insensitive and selfish yes. Basically he just wanted what he had before the baby and didn't really care about how she might feel about it. Hopefully he's a good enough guy to recognize he was a jerk and will make it up to her. His moment of disappointment does not justify treating her like this.

What a freakin inconsiderate jerk! Wow, I would be seriously pissed if my husband said something so assholely. I don't no really what to say to that but he has some serious making up to do!
