Something like that could put me on a government watch list; okay let's try it:

Today: a home computer, a written copy of the Constitution, a few books of American history and the meaning of our laws.
A traditional American education.

In the past: lots of guns, bullets, not to bother locking your front door--no one would dare enter.
Screen doors.

No bank accounts; a shoe box for your finances--see the point about "daring to not enter".

Stuff like that.
