So that americans will think of you exactly the way the people who responded to the question think of you....as an evil terrorist. Nevermind the fact that the neocons laid out a clear plan to move European bases to the Middle East since the cold war was over long before 9/11. Nevermind the lies used to justify an illegal invasion and OCCUPATION of Iraq and the lies being used in an effort to now justify an attack against Iran.
Nevermind the fact that we are building those permanent military bases in Iraq and an embassy there 10 times larger than any american embassy on the planet proving that we don't plan on leaving Iraq....Iraq is now an american colony just like america was once a British colony and the founders of this nation rose up and drove out the British terrorist who likely referred to the minutemen as terrorists.
WE control Iraq while pretending that they have a functioning democracy there. They have a dictatorship posing as a democracy there and Bush is the dictator.
We Installed a puppet president there and they still live under rules of occupation established by Paul Bremmer after Saddam's government fell....that is occupation even if some fools who are so arrogant about america's morality that they will deny even the most obvious acts of immorality by our government.
They call you terrorists because americans believe propaganda and deny truth. They want to believe that they live in a country that represents all that is good in the world and can do no wrong so it is easy for the government to manipulate them. The Bible says that evil will pose as a minister of light....noone can honestly look at the actions of the Bush administration and deny that he fits the description of evil posing as a minister of light.
For those who think that Bush just calls people wearing civilian clothes who kill innocent people terrorists....he and the congress labeled Iran's uniformed military a terrorist organization based on circumstantial evidence that would convict our own leaders of terrorism on a daily basis if it were applied to our own leaders and not just those who refuse to bow down and worship the image of democracy and freedom that we have created.

I was not taught to defend myself and ended up being bullied as a result so cannot recommend that as a course of action. I was raised to respect other people and was amazed when I discovered at school that some people apparently raise their kids to be violent little shits ! However this unfortunately a fact of life and you are right to be considering how best to prepare your child against it. From my viewpoint, given what happened to me, I will be telling my children to stand up to the bullies but to do so in a non violent way, otherwise they would be no better than the person doing the bullying. Quite how they should go about this is something I have not worked out yet. But I suspect that simply standing up to someone verbally may often be enough. Or maybe I am just naive.

Terrorist comes from the tactic they use, terrorism. They also use "insurgency". It's all the same, cowards who go fight a little and then run and hide behind women and children. We need to use more White Phosphorous on those Iraqi villages that shelter terrorists. WP is good stuff.

When the majority of who we are fighting are from foreign countries. They are not defending themselves, they are interfering. Therefore they are terrorists. Plus they dress in civilian clothing and kill innocent civilians, causing terror. Again this makes them terrorists.

They are NOT calling ANYONE that defends ANYONE terrorists. They are calling people that KILL innocent people terrorists. Most of those killed by terrorists are MUSLIMS.

What country are we occupying? Iraq has its own freely elected government now and has asked us to continue to protect them as they regain control of their diverse and murderous population.
